Online Therapy and Webcam Counselling
The ideal situation for offering therapy or counselling is face to face, but there could be many reasons why this is not practical. Maybe you want to have therapy but live too far away to reach me for the appointments or travel frequently for work. Maybe you’re housebound and can’t get out. Or maybe your emotional issues themselves are preventing a meeting in person, such as agoraphobia or distrust of unfamiliar settings.
In these cases, I can offer online therapy or counselling, whichever is suitable for your needs. Online therapy is a modern and flexible way to access the therapist you prefer, rather than who is closest to you, and in some cases, people have found that the relative anonymity makes it easier for them to open up and talk about their issues.
Online Skype therapy and webcam counselling
For those who are unable to come to sessions in person, for any of the reasons mentioned above, using a webcam and for example Skype, WhatsApp or Messenger allows you to have therapy from the comfort and security of your home or another private location.
